Burns, Stiles & Yulin Join Farrow in Fran's Bed at Playwrights Horizons

Heather Burns, Julia Stiles and Harris Yulin will star alongside Mia Farrow in the Playwrights Horizons production of Fran's Bed, according to a production spokesperson. The play, written and directed by James Lapine, is scheduled to begin off-Broadway previews on August 30.

Burns previously appeared at Playwrights Horizons in Lobby Hero. Her other off-Broadway credits include Suburbia, All Things Considered and Writer's Block. She starred opposite Freddie Prinze Jr and Chris Klein in This Is Our Youth in the West End. Burns can currently be seen on the big screen in Bewitched. Her other film credits include You've Got Mail, Miss Congeniality, Miss Congeniality 2, Two Weeks Notice and the upcoming Lobster Farm, Perception and The Groomsmen.

Stiles starred as Viola in the New York Shakespeare Festival production of Twelfth Night in the summer of 2002. Last year she starred in David Mamet's Oleanna in the West End. Her film credits include 10 Things I Hate About You, Down to You, Hamlet, The Business of Strangers, State and Main, The Bourne Identity, O, A Guy Thing, Mona Lisa Smile, The Prince & Me, The Bourne Supremacy and the upcoming A Little Trip to Heaven and Edmond.

Yulin starred with Farrow in Fran's Bed at the Long Wharf Theater. He has appeared on Broadway in Hedda Gabler, The Price, The Diary of Anne Frank, The Visit, A Lesson From Aloes and Watch on the Rhine. His off-Broadway credits include Arts and Leisure at Playwrights Horizons, Approaching Zanzibar, Hamlet, King John, Richard III, A Midsummer Night's Dream and Mrs. Warren's Profession. Yulin has numerous television and film credits and earned a 1993 Emmy nomination for a guest appearance on Frasier.

In Fran's Bed, Fran Farrow, incapacitated and surrounded by her family, guides the audience on an unpredictable journey into her past in an effort to help everyone understand her present situation. Burns and Stiles will play her daughters and Yulin will portray her husband. The cast will also include Brenda Pressley and Marcia DeBonis.

Fran's Bed is scheduled to officially open off-Broadway on September 25.
